Obituary of Louis Edward Breau

It is with great sadness that the family of Louis Edward Breau announce his passing at home on Thursday, May 28, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Louis was born on December 18, 1937 in College Bridge, NB to the late John and Rose (Cormier) Breau. Louis spent his career working as a auto body repair man throughout Ontario. He also worked at Universal Truck and Trailer in Dieppe for many years before retiring to Saint John at the age of 65. Louis was a true outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He would pick a spot on a map to go fishing and with the aid of his daughter Tanya they would eventually find it. Sometimes there would be hardly any fish but it was always a fun trip together. Louis also enjoyed puzzles, and he played online pool every night with Tanya. Louis will be missed by his daughter Tanya Breau (Kevin Gautreau) of Carter’s Point, NB, son Jason Breau (Tara) of Acton, Ont., brothers; Jean Paul Breau of Musquash and Bernard Breau (Aline) of College Bridge, NB, sister Phyllis Bragg of B.C, sisters in law; Gloria Breau of Montague, PEI and Peggy Attis of Moncton, NB, three grandchildren; Amanda, Amy and Jacob, and several nieces and nephews. Louis is predeceased by his parents, wife Elizabeth (Babcock), son James and brother Leon. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a Private Family Gathering will be held.
