Obituary of Carol Olive

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Carol Mae Olive on July 4, 2016 at Bobby's Hospice. She was born in Toronto on November 3, 1930 and is the only child of Harvey F Pulford and Elma C Pulford (Magnusson.)She is survived by her sons David (Dianne), James and Peter (Janet) and grandchildren Tom (Melissa), Andrew (Carole-Anne), Shawna (Andrew), Jena Olive and Alanna Meyer (Don), also a great grandson Ethan of Hampton. Also survived by her sister-in-law Wilma Olive and nieces Brenda McCarvill and Judy Ann (Peter) Greathead of Halifax and special cousins Richard, Mary-Ellen, Allison, Tom and Norman, and special family member Jamie McOuat.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Christine, fiance Jimmy Orr, former husband Ralph Olive and daughter-in-law Rosalind Olive. Carol was a well know fashion consultant at Calps, D'Allards and Modissa in Saint John. She was a classy lady with a wonderful sense of humour. She loved spending time with her family, chocolate, and ice cream in that order.Special thanks to Saint John Regional Hospital, Bobby's Hospice and Bay Shore Services and to Mary Clare for her compassion and care. Another thank you to Monsignor Sheehan for his many visits.Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation and Reception will be held on Thursday July 7, 2016 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday July 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. The Interment will follow at Fernhill cemetery. Donations in Carol’s memory can be made to Bobby's Hospice or the Charity of one’s choice. www.castlefh.com
