Obituary of Floyd Small

Small, Floyd D. husband of the late Elsie T. Small, passed away peacefully at The Kennebec Manor, Saint John on Monday, September 1st, 2014.Born in Saint John, on February 22nd, 1930 he was the son of the late Harry E. and Olive (Mawhinney) Small.Floyd was a fisherman most of his life but also worked at the dry dock and CPR Trucking.Floyd is survived by sons Bradley Small (Elaine) and David Small of Maces Bay, grandchildren; Katie Smith (Keith), Joel Small, Jillian Small, Emily Small and Sam Small, a great granddaughter Brooklyn Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Floyd was predeceased by his sister Doreen Wayne and his brother Marvin Small.Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, N.B. with visitation on Thursday evening September 4th, from 7-9 pm and Friday, September 5th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6th 2014 at Bethany Independent Baptist Church, Maces Bay. A reception for Floyd’s friends and family will follow the service in the Bethany Independent Baptist Church basement, all are welcome. Interment in Maces Bay Cemetery.
