Obituary of J.Vincent "Vince" Burns

J. Vincent (Vince) Burns passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7th, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John on March 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Mark and Evelyn (O’Neill) Burns. Vince was a member of the ILA for many years and was a self-employed trucker. Vincent is survived by his wife Mary (Murphy) Burns, 3 daughters Dianne (Arnold) Gorman, Saint John, Janet (Paul) McCracken of Dartmouth, NS, Karen (Alan) MacLennan of Nepean, ON and 2 sons Stephen (Verna) Burns, of Dartmouth, NS, Kenneth (Doris) Burns, of Ancaster, ON. eight grandchildren, Jason, David, Peter, Jeffrey, Shea-Lynn and Brandon, Andrew and Mark and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Rita Langford. Visitation will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 11th, 2014. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
