Obituary of Annie "Nan" Ogilvie

It is with deep sorrow the family announces the death of Annie Ogilvie which occurred on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing Hospital. Annie was born on June 15, 1925 in Falkirk, Scotland and was the daughter of John Stoddart and Agnes Wilson. Annie was a corporal in the Airforce with the fabric workers where she met and married her husband James Ogilvie of 72 years. After the Airforce, Annie became a Stenographer with Irving Oil at the cotton mill. Annie went on to find her true passion as a nurturing care giver and exceptional grannie. Annie was also a member of the N.B. Archery Association for six years and was a volunteer at the westside food bank. Annie also loved to spend time at the family cottage on the Belleisle. She is survived by her loving husband James Ogilvie; sons Richard D. Ogilvie (Lise) of Grandbay-Westfield, NB and Robert J. Ogilvie (Lynette) of Pefferlaw, ON.; 3 grandchildren Anthony Ogilvie, Jae Ogilvie (Angela Galbraith) of Fredericton, NB, and Robin Ogilvie (Kery-Ann Ogilvie) of Halifax, NS; 4 great-grand daughters London, Piper, Georgia, and Grace Ogilvie. Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by one sister and three brothers. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Castle Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Donations in Annie’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer society, Heart and Stroke foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of one’s choice.
