Obituary of Thyra Marie Campbell

Mrs. Thyra Marie Campbell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John on August 28, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Elsie C. (Jensen) Kelly. She worked at NBTel and Sears for many years. Marie was a member of the J.O.Y. Club, Telephone Pioneers and the Danish Society. She loved Christmas, Bling, Bowling, Reading and Watching TV. Marie is survived by her son Malcolm A. (Sue) of Grand-Bay Westfield; two daughters Tina Thibodeau (Paul) and Kelly-Anne Dignard (Paul McKay) both of Saint John; her brother John (Laurel) of Corunna, ON; her sister Margaret McIntyre (late Douglas) of Saint John; also survived by special sister-in-laws Myrtle, Melita and Marjorie; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm A.; her brothers Robert, Charles, Leon, Ted, Peter, David and Thomas.Visitation will take place on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Castle Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 1:00pm from St. Georges Anglican Church. Interment will take place following the service at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
